The Reproductive Center provides couples and individuals who are having difficulty
conceiving with comprehensive state of the art infertility treatment in a warm, personal setting. Our practice is conveniently located off the Ohio Turnpike in Boardman, OH, a suburb of Youngstown. Our experienced and dedicated medical team provides basic to advanced level of infertility treatment. We work closely with the patient and couples in each step of the process so they have a complete understanding of the procedures and historical success rates.
Robert Collins, M.D.
Robert Collins M.D., a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, is the former Head of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in 1976, and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. In 1982 he received the National Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine from the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He is currently a member of A.C.O.G., The American Fertility Society, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, The American Society of Andrology, The Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, and The Society for Bioethics Consultation. Dr. Collins has focused his practice on reproductive endocrinology and infertility since 1984. He directed the IVF program and established the anonymous egg donation program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the first in the country. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and author of 2 textbooks on infertility. He has contributed to several scientific papers and articles and provides editorial services for several medical journals.
Chang Qi Zhong, M.D. M.S., HCLD
Chang Qi Zhong, M.D. M.S., HCLD, is the Director of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Laboratories. He has completed more than 1,300 IVF procedures since 1995. Before joining The Reproductive Center, Dr. Zhong spent a year at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL where he had held the position of ART Lab Onsite Director as Senior Clinical Embryologist. From 1995-2001, he held the position of IVF Laboratory Director for Reproductive Health and Fertility Center at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford IL. While there, Dr. Zhong performed in vitro fertilization (IVF) and micromanipulation procedures, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assisted hatching (AH), embryo transfer, sperm and embryo cryopreservation, oocyte retrieval and blastocyst evaluation. In 1989 Dr. Zhong completed his fellowship in Infertility, Human IVF and Sperm Function at the University of Hong Kong at Queen Mary Hospital supported by a research grant awarded to him from Research Promotion and Development, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations. He is a member of several professional societies including American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).
